Elderly driver hits fence and tree, minor injuries

Emergency medical staff report on a traffic collision involving a 75-year-old man driving home from his daughter's house around 2 a.m. He veered slightly off the driveway, pressed the gas instead of the brake, and drove at low speed into a fence and a small tree. The airbag deployed and he was wearing a seat belt. Bystanders called emergency services when he could not get out because a tree branch blocked his door. On scene, the front of the vehicle had very minor damage, with no major damage to the windshield or other areas. The man had no significant complaints, with only a small bruise on his abdomen and a small cut on his right foot, with bleeding under control. He did not lose consciousness, had clear lungs, normal vital signs, and could move all his limbs. He was transported to the hospital for evaluation.
