Should have lights on your bike, especially if your going to drive on the road, that's the law, to have lights at night. I rarely ride on the road, to many non-drivers, and many that don't pay attention or don't think. I ride the sidewalk, when I see someone walking, I move into the street briefly and then back on sidewalk. If the police want to say something, I'll just say I don't want to die from some crazy driver!
