Rope rescue for dog stranded on bluff in Wading River

As discussed during the dispatch call, fire crews and a technical rescue team responded to a dog stranded on a bluff behind a residence near Hulse Landing Road in Wading River. A rope operation was used, and only the animal was reported to be in danger while the human companion was already safe above the bluff. Other responding units were eventually released while a specialized rescue unit remained on scene.
