Large uncontrolled fire reported in trees near Vergas

As discussed during the dispatch call, law enforcement and fire personnel responded to a reported large fire in trees near a county highway. A nearby burn permit holder could not be reached, and officers determined the fire did not belong to that permit holder. A blue pickup registered to a private party was checked as part of the response.
