Head-on crash with driver freed on Route 209

As discussed during the dispatch call, emergency crews responded to a head-on vehicle crash on Route 209 near East Grand Avenue in Porter Township. One person was initially trapped in a vehicle and needed the driver’s door forced open. The road was reportedly shut down while the patient, who complained of neck pain, was accessed and prepared for a controlled removal, and towing was requested for at least one vehicle.
