Male patient transported for left upper arm injury after fall

Emergency medical services transported a 64-year-old male to University of Toledo Medical Center due to an injury to his left upper arm after a fall. The patient was alert and oriented with stable vital signs including pulse, blood pressure, respiration, and oxygen saturation. He reported mild pain and had a visible deformity on the left upper arm. The patient had consumed alcohol heavily earlier, approximately 15 alcoholic drinks before stopping around 4 a.m. He did not recall falling or how he hurt his arm. Medical staff established IV access and performed heart monitoring showing normal rhythm. The patient was also placed in a neck collar for spinal precautions.
