Small Brush Fire on I-75 Near Mile Marker 404

Summary: A small brush fire was reported on the east side of the roadway along I-75 at mile marker 404 northbound in Alachua County, Florida. Engine 21 and Brush 21 responded to the scene, where they found two isolated pockets of fire, each approximately 20 by 20 feet, encroaching onto thicker vegetation. Firefighters acted offensively, applied water, and successfully knocked down most of the fire. The incident was contained without escalation.
