Fuel Spill Incident at Rears on Doven/Jopin Island Parkway

Summary: A fuel spill occurred at Rears, located at 1.0835 Doven Island Parkway (also referred to as Jopin Island Parkway) between Jim Bussey Road and Fowl River Road in Mobile County, Alabama. The Fowl River Fire Department responded to the incident. The spill was caused by an accidental drive-off with the pump handle still attached, resulting in less than a gallon of fuel being spilled. The situation was quickly contained, did not require additional hazardous material response, and posed minimal risk to the public. Cleanup was completed and the responding unit returned to service.
