Summary: Medic 22 responded to a report of a sick 62-year-old male at 3648 South County Road 550 East, Johnson County, Indiana. The patient was described as lethargic, weak, and abnormal, with a history of prior sepsis and recent infection. He had been ill for several days with vomiting and decreased urine output. Upon assessment, he was found to have a low blood pressure (65/40), elevated heart rate (95), low oxygen saturation (88% on room air), and hot skin. Amity Fire arrived prior to Medic 22, but there was no direct interaction. The patient was being treated with IV fluids and was stable with a GCS of 15 and clear EKG.
