Multi-Vehicle Traffic Collision with Injuries on Otay Lakes Road

Summary: A serious traffic collision involving two vehicles occurred near mile marker 11.5 on Otay Lakes Road, west of Highway 94 in San Diego County, California. Multiple emergency units, including Medic 31, Engine 36, and Engine 3392, responded to the scene. Three patients were reported, with at least one requiring extrication from a vehicle. Additional medic units and utility resources were requested. Border Patrol and CHP assisted with traffic control. One patient sustained significant injuries requiring air transport and was later transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital. Command was transferred to the captain of Engine 36 during the incident.
