Officers report a red car with no headlights leaving southbound and treat it as a possible suspect vehicle. An officer conducts a traffic stop on a white Chevrolet Cruze at Ashland and Whittier based on an initial plate number given over the radio. Dispatch later clarifies that the suspect vehicle is believed to be a red Chevrolet Malibu with a partial license plate beginning with certain numbers. Officers search the area, including near 13th and Nash, but do not find the Malibu and believe it likely continued westbound on another road.
