71-year-old male with sudden shortness of breath

Emergency responders attended a 71-year-old man at a private residence near Clairemont Dr. He had sudden shortness of breath starting about an hour before arrival. He was struggling to breathe, showing signs of respiratory distress, with a low oxygen saturation of 86 percent. He had no previous respiratory conditions. He was treated with CPAP and nebulized albuterol which increased his oxygen saturation to 96 percent. Vital signs included a temperature of 104 degrees and elevated blood sugar. He was en route to hospital with an estimated eight minutes to arrival.
