As discussed during the dispatch call, dispatch received a report of a smoke alarm sounding in a Salem apartment building near Hill Street and Center Avenue. A neighbor reported the alarm coming from an upstairs unit, with no apparent smoke and no answer at the door. Fire or law enforcement units were requested to check the situation.
