As discussed during the dispatch call, officers were involved in a high speed pursuit of a vehicle southbound on US 23 toward Portsmouth, with speeds reportedly over 100 miles per hour. The driver allegedly ran traffic lights and stop signs before pulling into the sheriff’s office, where one male was taken into custody. Items were reportedly thrown from the vehicle during the chase.

Sounds like to me he was running drugs, threw them out the window and he knew where he was going because you don’t just pull in to a sheriffs office if you’re not from this area, he sure as hell did not want to go to jail in Columbus or Cincinnati
