this is ludicris! There have been a rash of dog attacks lately... biting, mauling and even causing death! Not only in the Portland area, but all across the country. I see these kinds of stories regularly. I feel the owner or guardian of the dog who attacks should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We need to send a serious message and if the attack was unprovoked ( which they most all are ) then perhaps that dog should be euthanized. We euthanize hundreds of dogs everday for NO reason other than that they are BORN. I pray for that victim, who may never ever be the same, all because of a careless, irresponsible owner, when sometimes it seems it doesn't faze the 'owner' much! S. Fox

I agrand any dog that's not a service animal, the owner should be prosecuted, and the animal put down
