Male cutting himself with knife at home with protective dog

As discussed during the dispatch call, officers responded to a reported suicide attempt involving a male with a kitchen knife at a home on Confederacy Drive in Penn Laird. The information was relayed by an out-of-state third party via the male’s girlfriend, and the male was believed to be alone inside with a protective dog. Medical rescue and an ambulance were requested to stage nearby. The person involved appears to be a minor with a history of mental health issues.
