As discussed during the dispatch call, radio traffic indicates a dark van apparently struck a utility pole near the 200 block of Barnes Road in Moriches, bringing wires down and injuring an adult man’s arm. Barnes Road was reported shut down between Montauk Highway and Sunrise Highway while crews responded and checked for remaining power in nearby homes.
