Hit-and-run under investigation near Broadway and Gilbert

As discussed during the dispatch call, deputies responded to a reported hit-and-run at Broadway and Gilbert in Mesa. A caller’s vehicle was struck by another vehicle, described as a white Chevy truck, which fled north on Gilbert and then east on Main. Units later observed a similar vehicle near Lindsay and Main and in the vicinity of a nearby canal complex. One person was placed in custody, and the vehicle involved appeared to have rear-end damage. The incident, classified as a non-injury hit-and-run, remains under investigation.
