To hear Republicans tell it, we're to believe that if there were more "good guys" with guns, this would never have happened. Who's to say he wasn't considered a "good guy" up to this point? I'm sure his family would say he was. More guns aren't the answer it's guns that are the biggest part of the problem. When I was growing up in the '60s & '70s this didn't happen. It seems to me that more guns equate to more problems like this and we see it every single day.
