False vehicle crash alert from phone notification

As discussed during the dispatch call, responders were sent to a possible vehicle crash reported by an iPhone alert near North 100 East in Spencer County. Fire and EMS units searched the road and did not find a wreck, but they did find someone looking for a phone that had fallen from a car. The crash call was then disregarded.
