Family dispute involving retired detective and boyfriend

Officers responded to reports that two men with guns were threatening a detective near West Jackson. The caller gave unclear information about a detective at a house and in a vehicle, and many officers went to the area. After speaking with the caller, police learned there were no officers involved at first and that this was actually a dispute between two community members. Officers later found a retired detective, who said he had been involved in a domestic incident between his child and her boyfriend. The retired detective had scraped knees but did not want an ambulance. The boyfriend had already left the area in a white sport utility vehicle. It was reported that he had a pipe, and a gun was only implied, not confirmed.
