Man with breathing difficulty near Carthage

As discussed during the dispatch call, emergency crews were sent to a rural location off County Road 170 near Highway 96 for a reported 56-year-old man who was conscious but having serious difficulty breathing. Law enforcement was also requested because the caller was described as previously combative with EMS, and responders were told the patient would be in a building behind the residence.
