Security officers at the hospital campus followed a suspicious man moving between several medical buildings, including the North Pavilion, West Pavilion, Jefferson Towers, and nearby areas. They shared his photo in a group chat and gave a clothing description, noting a gray and black beanie-style cap, brown work-style pants, a dark jacket, and a backpack. Officers reported seeing him inside Jefferson Towers, then watched him walk toward the doors and leave the building. After he exited the property, he ran north along the street and was believed to have crossed Sixth Avenue and left hospital grounds.
