Patient evacuated from mountain trail using med flight

As discussed during the dispatch call, emergency crews coordinated a med‑flight evacuation for a patient along the Appalachian Trail near Big Island, Virginia. Responders reported challenging terrain and used climbing and rigging equipment to assist with moving the patient to an open area for helicopter pickup.
