Bird causes transformer sparks and power outage

As discussed during the dispatch call, fire crews are sent to a home near Maplewood Road in Belmar for a sparking electrical transformer. A bird reportedly landed on the transformer, causing a possible power outage on one side of the street. The utility company is requested to respond.
